If you didn't know, Landscaping Unlimited, Inc. sends a newsletter weekly.
Written by Zac Small, each week he shares insights and life experiences from being "out in the field" (sometimes literally) at work.
It makes sense that the newsletter is called 'Letters from the Field'.
Here's a quote from the last letter that went out:
"At the end of the day, I look at this through the lens of a person, not an employer/employee position.
I am on the hiring side of this business, and with that comes a commitment to ensuring that the right candidates are on the team, as they’ll help propel us forward. Our aim is to compensate them fairly and ensure the business generates more than enough to cover the cost directly through their output.
I don't want anyone on our team who doesn’t see the vision or believe in the mission, because those who do leave each day satisfied with the work they’ve done, and the company grows because of the effort they put into what they believe in....From that point of view, both employer and employee are lucky to have each other, because they both get what they want: a return on their investment."
