When we were chosen to assist in the construction of a custom brick path at East Carolina University, we knew we were contributing to more than just a project; we were also contributing to the university's overall aesthetic.
We were building a piece of Pirate history, a path that thousands of students, alumni, and future leaders would walk every day.
The Vision: Walkway of Pride & Purpose
East Carolina University needed a brick pathway that would:
- Withstand heavy foot traffic
- Showcase ECU’s iconic branding
- Honor school tradition with clean, classic craftsmanship
- Serve as a photo-worthy destination on campus
This project wasn’t just about function; it was about honor, symbolism, and timelessness.
LSU’s Role in the Project
Our crew handled:
- Site grading and prep to ensure durability and drainage
- Custom brick pattern layout, chosen to match existing campus design elements
- Precision installation for a perfectly level, aligned, and clean finish
- Detailed work to embed branding, directional flow, and safety features into the path
We worked closely with ECU representatives and other on-site companies to ensure that every detail, from color to spacing, matched the school’s standard of excellence.
